Kobanî is now effectively under siege:All major roads are blocked → no food, medicine or fuel can enter
Electricity has been cut for days → water pumps stopped working → no clean water
Intense shelling and fighting continue despite a fragile/short-lived ceasefire
Reports confirm children have already died from exposure in the freezing winter
≈150,000 civilians (many displaced families & genocide survivors) are trapped with rapidly worsening humanitarian conditions
The United Nations, relief agencies and local sources describe a deepening crisis that risks becoming a full humanitarian catastrophe.The people of Rojava built a democratic, women-led, ecological experiment in the ashes of war.
